Maritime Coastguard Agency Approvals!

A major piece of the jigsaw has been fitted this Thursday. An MCA inspector came to the new ship and has issued a certificate for towing to Chichester. In the afternoon he came to The Gerald Daniel and we watched in trepidation as he surveyed the hull, bilges and deck. He has issued a certificate for towing in the Solent area with only minor preparatory works, mainly sealing openings and hatches!!

Without these certificates the boats could not be moved. A method study for the ship movements has been agreed by all parties including Chichester Harbour and planning department. Pictures show survey in action and bilges of GD which rarely see light of day.
